The Food handling
certificate can be obtained by any resident Australian and this is the
certification that is mandatory for any individual who will be handling food in
any capacity. The certificate will make sure that the person knows the methods
of handling the food in a secure manner. The topics in this course will also
cover the storage of the food in the correct temperature, the techniques of
first aid and also the reduction of the risk of contamination. Although the time
that is required for the certification to be obtained is only one day, the
renewal of the certificate has to be done each year.
